Staple Style Challenge: Frozen Tee Dress

I actually cant explain my excitement that winter is on its way. To me it signifies dressing up, layering and pulling out one of waaayyyy to many coats that I own - considering I live in the sunniest state in Australia, you would think I was absolutely mental owning the amount of coats I do. 

I've styled this beautiful Frozen Tee Dress for Staple the Label Style Challenge. They are hosting it with QT Goldcoast, Naked Vice and The Minimalist. When I saw this dress I knew this is the piece I wanted to style. I don't often wear much colour but when I do, its subtle like in this beautiful structured dress. I threw over the top my Glassons Duster Coat to keep the slight chill off and wore my current fav laced up heels from Lipstik Shoes.

Work even harder

Today I'm not doing anything special, except work a little harder in the gym, finish off client shoots when I get home from work.. and then sleep. My love for sleep has grown so much over the past few months. I don't think I would survive my busy days if I weren't getting enough sleep… I'm such a nana ;)

I've become such a slouchy dresser this past year… Since I joined the gym, my wardrobe has transformed into sporty luxe.. but I'm not complaining! Nothing beats being comfy all year round ;)
I'm really loving life atm! I may be working 3 jobs and I'm tired all the time but I'm doing what I love so again.. I cant complain!

ADIDAS ORIGINAL

After about a year of searching, Adidas has finally restocked their famous original sneaker! I have seriously been looking for these EVERYWHERE! As soon as I saw them in Footlocker I knew I had to buy them before they sell out yet again!

I've finally gotten my hands on a pair of these bad boys! I've wanted these for a good year now and I finally had the balls to fork out the $250 for them. God damn Australia, why you gotta be so expensive!

AU REVOIR WINTER

I'm not going to lie…. I'm excited for Spring. Bring on the pretty pastels, bright colours, fresh flowers and warmer nights! I'm also loving this super cute set from Mink Pink! The black floral prints on the shoulders and side are perfect to match beautiful leather boots with, and these ones from Wittner are my absolute faves atm!

warm knits

I would happily spend every single day throughout winter in a warm, cozy knit top. This one I have probably worn one too many times…. Its such beautiful quality, and I can see it lasting a long time! These cute booties where an absolute steel as well! $7 (YES! SEVEN) at this super sick store in Carindale Westfeild called Factorie! They are pretty similar to this Jeffery Campbell - Stillwell pair I wanted to get but they're legit like not even a quarter of the price. Yay for cheaper alternatives for this shopaholic!

CLOUD NINE

So the past few weeks have been pretty great. Meeting new people who are helping me reach my goals, being surrounded by good energy, enjoying the company of great people… thats what I call a chill time. Feeling pretty damn great actually… haven't been this happy in a very long time.

P.s, I bought these new denim jeans that I am in love with! I'm the kind of girl who doesn't like wearing 'real' denim as I find it just too hard to move in, so I prefer the 'fake' jeans.. which these are! They are that summer comfy, stretchy material which hugs your booty perfectly. I don't plan on taking these off until I find another great pair of comfy pants.

Someday's Loving "Off Duty" style challenge

Exciting things have happened the past few weeks and one of them is collaborating with Someday's Lovin to put together my ideal "Off Duty" look using a piece from their latest campaign "Midnight Rambler". I chose these amazing leather pants to style, something I love lounging around in.. especially with a pair of awesome kicks! I think my style will always be a bit edgy, while sneaking in as much black as possible

BRING BACK SUMMER

I wish this house had a fire. I'm currently baby sitting my sisters house while she's away and it is freezing. It's making me really miss the summer mornings where the sun warms your skin while your drinking your morning coffee. One of the great things about looking after this place is that I'm like a 1 min drive from my gym, which I have been attending 6 days a week. I'm also getting a taste of being independent and living out of home which is actually really nice. I think when she returns I'll be looking for my own place for sure. 

WINTER IN THE CITY

The nights are cooler, and now so are the days. While walking through the city to meet up with a friend to shoot this look, I got a little reminder of my time spent in New York last year. The whipping wind down the streets near Queen Street Mall brought chills to my back, but happiness in my heart. The weather is dropping which means its time to rug up. 

I'm extremely excited that I was lucky enough to be selected to compete in Wish's 'Winter In The City' Style Challenge. I was asked to pick a piece from their Winter collection and as soon as I laid my eyes on this 'Incite Jacket', I knew that's what I wanted to style. After seeing the incredible quality of this  fabulous piece, I knew I needed a talented photographer to help bring these photos to life, which is exactly what this jacket does to any outfit! The vibrant colours and texture really brings this outfit to life and it's definitely going to be one of my most worn jackets this winter season. I decided to keep the rest of the look simple so the jacket could shine through.
